A History of Quality
A uniquely variegated antique limestone, Dalle de Bourgogne is salvaged from locations throughout Burgundy, France. With its abundance of distinct natural limestone deposits, this world-renowned wine region has an equally rich quarrying history. The Third Face, or “Croute”, is the back end of the characteristically thick Dalle de Bourgogne. As saws were not used when it was originally quarried centuries ago, the underside is extremely rugged and uneven. Perfect for use as wall cladding, the Third Face comes in both larger chunks and smaller pieces that still reflect its high level of color and textural variation. Each piece is individually restored and inspected for both quality and authenticity. The Third Face showcases the rustic beauty of the Dalle de Bourgogne, while allowing us to use every usable part of this incredible limestone.
