The Reclaimed Stone Collection
Reclaimed Dalle de Bourgogne
Limestone — France
An antique French limestone originally quarried in the Bourgogne region of France. It has rich, rustic characteristics, wide color and textural variation, and a beautiful timeworn patina from centuries of use.
A History of Quality
A uniquely variegated antique limestone, Dalle de Bourgogne is salvaged from locations throughout Burgundy, France. With its abundance of distinct natural limestone deposits, this world-renowned wine region has an equally rich quarrying history. Greatly varied in its coloration, density and texture, the Dalle de Bourgogne is pulled from centuries-old interior and exterior installations before being meticulously restored by expert stonemasons. Paint, cement and debris are carefully removed to preserve the stone’s surface and natural patina. The stone is heavily sorted during the reclamation process—each piece individually inspected for both quality and authenticity. Once measured and cut to order, the edges are aged by hand to capture the appearance of its original installation. Striking and spectacular, the Dalle de Bourgogne is truly one-of-a-kind.
