Beneath the Surface

A History of Quality

Coulmier Jaune Aged is a natural French limestone sourced from the Burgundy region of eastern France. The limestone is extracted from stratified beds using careful quarrying techniques that preserve the integrity of the blocks, which are then cut and finished to size. After extraction, the stone undergoes an aging process that gently enhances its natural tones and softens its surface character. Visually, Coulmier Jaune Aged is distinguished by its warm yellow to honey-beige coloration, subtle tonal variations, and delicate fossil inclusions that reflect its sedimentary origins. The overall appearance is elegant and timeless, with a lightly weathered patina that gives the stone a sense of depth, authenticity, and architectural heritage.
