Petit Granite Refine
Limestone — Belgium
A newly quarried blue limestone with black tonality, minimal veins and very little variation. It has a smooth, refined finish and straight edges, making it incredibly versatile for a variety of spaces and styles.
A History of Quality
The singular and sparkling Petit Granite Refine is an authentic Belgian bluestone from Ouffet, a municipality of Wallonia in the province of Liège. Deposits of this particular type of limestone, found exclusively in Belgium, are distinguished by their consistent blue-black coloration, prominent fossilization and calcite veining. It’s an increasingly rare material quarried in remote locations throughout the region. As such, excavation and transportation can be quite complex and labor-intensive. Expert stonemasons work with absolute precision, meticulously checking each block for quality, authenticity and appropriate coloring. Once fabricated, individual sections are finished by hand in various surface textures that capture the essential spirit of antique stone.
