Beneath the Surface

A Family Connection

Exquisite Surfaces has always been a family company. Strong relationships–with our team, our suppliers and our clients–have been the cornerstone of our work. We are all children, parents and friends who are strongly committed to doing the most good that we can, wherever we can. That is why we have supported the nonprofit Educate Girls Now for the last three years. We believe it is vital to offer help and hope to the world, and remember the impact that we can have on the lives of our global family.

Every child deserves food, shelter, education, and love.

Educate Girls Now

Educate Girls Now was founded in 2013 by world renowned educator and founder of Laurel Springs School, Marilyn Mosley Gordanier, in response to the dire needs of the girls and women of Afghanistan. Nearly ten years later, this life-changing nonprofit organization remains focused on providing education and basic necessities like food, fuel and shelter to the most vulnerable communities throughout the region.

From their Mission: Educate Girls Now seeks to empower the daughters of Afghanistan through education and self determination. Our grassroots approach to aid distribution prioritizes the education of female children, in a society where they are all too often an afterthought, by tying critical food and fuel aid to their academic success.  This method ensures that the girls are signing lessons rather than marriage contracts. That is a long term investment in the family, the community, and country.
