A History of Quality
The striking styles, bold colors and dazzling patterns found in the La Terre collection are inspired by a variety of tilemaking traditions, including the Portuguese azulejo and Spanish ceramic tiles of the Iberian peninsula, and the Moorish-inspired Zellige tiles of Morocco. Baked in small batches using a mixture of clays and strengthening adhesives, these hardwearing tiles are intricately hand-painted and stenciled one at a time by master craftsmen located in Mexico and the southwestern United States. Owing to their artisanal nature, the resulting tiles are rich with unique irregularities and subtle variations from piece to piece. One of our most diverse and customizable collections, La Terre tiles are incomparable for their durability, versatility and Old World spirit.
