Designer Sophie Goineau took a subtle and sophisticated approach in her interior renovation of this Malibu beach home, originally built in 1965. With a soothing palette of natural materials and architectural elements inspired by the property’s surrounding landscape, Goineau delivers high drama spaces with contemporary coastal appeal.

For flooring in the main living spaces, Goineau selected a wide plank format of Exquisite Surfaces Lumiere Crillon; a befitting choice for its warm blond coloration and natural character. To furnish the design, she turned to design studio Atra, which provided the modern, yet timeless, custom pieces seen throughout the home.
